About Us

What is Praxis?  Praxis is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted or practiced.

While praxis usually refers to the process of putting theoretical knowledge into practice, the strategic and organizational usage of the word emphasizes the need for a constant cycle of conceptualizing the meanings of what can be learned from experience in order to reframe strategic and operational models

What is EPM?  EPM or Enterprise Performance Management is the latest incarnation of the approach companies use to manage people and processes to be aligned with the strategies and goals of the organization.

In the late 80’s we referred to this as Executive Information Systems.  In the 90’s terms like On-Line Analytical Processing, or OLAP, and Business Intelligence were used to define the space.  Today, the market space has been more clearly defined as a combination of Financial and non-Financial business applications ranging from simple reporting solutions to sophisticated metrics-driven dashboards, to strategic financial business modeling tools.  We now use the term Enterprise Performance Management.
